University of Kansas Libraries

KU Libraries contains more than 4 million items, including printed books, documents, maps, and other media. The libraries offer access to a wide range of electronic and printed resources in many subjects and formats, including many that pertain to literary study. These resources can be found in the main library building, Watson Library, and at the branch and departmental libraries. Electronic databases, journals, books, and other materials can be accessed through the libraries’ web site.

The resources of the Kenneth Spencer Research Library are of particular interest to English students. This world-renowned research library has three components: Special Collections, the Kansas Collection, and University Archives. Special Collections holds about 250,000 volumes printed since the mid 15th century and about 500,000 manuscripts, dating from antiquity to the present. A summary of the library’s holdings.
